How to become a Land Surveyor?

  • A decades ago people did not have to go through formal training to become a Land Surveyor. All they had to do was join a survey crew and work as a crew member to get experience, on the job. This was the way that people who wanted to become a Land Surveyor could do it and eventually become a licensed Land Surveyor.
  • The technology is getting used more and more. There are lots of new developments. This means that being a Land surveyor is a technical job now. To be good, at it you need to have an education. You should get a degree in something related to Land surveying from a school. That way you can become a qualified Land surveyor and get the certification you need to be a certified Land surveyor. To become a surveyor you need a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
  • There are some universities and colleges that offer degrees, in land survey and survey technology. These universities and colleges will teach you about land survey and survey technology. They will not give you the land survey license that you need to do this job.

Step 1 : After clearing 10 class the interested candidate has to appear in an entrance test conducted by the Technical Education Boards of various State Governments to get admission in Diploma colleges according to the rank of the candidate in the entrance exam.

This exam usually takes place in May or June. The exam has choice questions on English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Aptitude. The questions are, about these subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Aptitude.

Step 2 : When you finish this three year Diploma course you can do one of two things. You can get a job as a Junior Engineer.. You can try to get into the second year of an engineering degree course at one of the regional engineering colleges, in the state. You can finish your engineering studies through AMIE, which is the Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers. AMIE is another way to get an engineering degree.

The Association of Mutual Improvement in Engineering which is also known as AMIE has a program that teaches people about engineering in a non-formal way. When you finish this program the government of India says it is just as good as an engineering degree. The union public service commission, state governments and lots of organizations both public and private also recognize it as equal to a degree in engineering. The AMIE program is really useful, for people who want to learn about engineering.

The second option is that the engineering aspirant can choose to do 10+2 and then get into a degree college, for studies. The engineering aspirant has to follow this path to get the desired degree. So the engineering aspirant will first complete 10+2. Then join a degree college.

To be eligible for joining a Degree course in engineering one should be 10+2 Class pass or appeared in a Non-Medical stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects with a minimum of 60% marks in PCM for most of the prestigious colleges.

Step 1 : To get into these colleges eligible candidates have to take entrance tests. These tests are conducted by state universities, such as Delhi University, which has the Delhi CEE. The Central Government also has organizations that conduct these tests like the Joint Entrance Exam. Then there are institutions, like the IITs, which have the IIT-JEE and BITS Pilani. These tests are held at places in India. If a candidate does well in the test and selects a stream they like they can get admission into these colleges. The admission is for a four-year degree programme and it is based on how the candidate does in the exam and the stream of their interest such as engineering or science that they have chosen. The colleges give admission to candidates based on their merit in the examination. The IIT-JEE and other exams like it are very important for candidates who want to get into colleges. Candidates take these exams to get into colleges, like IITs and BITS Pilani for their four-year degree programme.

Step 2 : When you finish your degree course or get the qualifications you need to get a license to work in Multinational Companies. To do that you must pass the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying test. Work as an assistant surveyor for a while. You have to get this license to work in Multinational Companies so you need to pass the National Council of Examiners, for Engineering and Surveying test. Every country has its test to get a license and the rules are different for each country. Some countries want people to finish a number of training hours every year.
