International Medical University is located in Bishkek , the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. IMU is a private medical institution and it was established in 2003. IMU provides a range of medical programs for Indian students being General medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. Before choosing the university Indian students must go through the NMC guidelines and when it comes to IMU , it is fulfilling all the NMC guidelines of 2021.
IMU is a fully English medium university with a course duration of 5.5 years in which 4.5 years is reserved for theoretical classes and the last one year is for clinical rotations.
International Medical University is recognised by WHO, NMC/MCI, ECFMG and it is also WDOM listed university which means once you will complete your degree you can apply for USMLE and PLAB examination. Moreover , a degree from IMU is valid in India and one can give the NEXT exam after completion of the course.
IMU has a very good tie-up with top hospitals of Bishkek and students get great exposure and clinical rotation in the hospitals. For taking admission in IMU there are two possible intakes one is for September and another is for January. So, students have the choice to enrol in the university in both sessions.
Currently More than 6000 International students are studying in IMU and more than 350+ experienced and qualified faculty is available for students all the time.
Admission in IMU is quite easy and simple. Students only need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for taking admission as there is no entrance exam for IMU.

The faculty is excellent and helpful. My overall experience was really good.
Campus life is good, but hostel facilities can improve. Education-wise it’s excellent.
It was an average experience. Some teachers were not very supportive.
